Our Story

Lucy founded Golden Wài in 2025 to support individuals and families from East and Southeast Asia in building fulfilling lives in Britain that reflect the efficiency and standards of excellence found in countries including Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan.

Though British, Lucy's near two decades in Singapore shaped her outlook and instilled in her the discipline and expectations familiar to Asians. A fluent Mandarin speaker, she serves as a trusted cultural bridge helping clients navigate Britain's unspoken rules, networks and institutions with confidence. Educated at Tanglin Trust School in Singapore and later immersed in Mandarin studies at China's Shanghai Jiaotong University, Lucy combines cultural fluency with British savvy.

Golden Wài supports high-net-worth individuals relocating to or already residing in Britain, as well as business visitors, delegations and students seeking seamless access to British life.

During her time in China, Lucy was affectionately nicknamed "golden wài" — meaning "golden foreigner." Now back in Britain, she has embraced that name to build a service dedicated to supporting international families as they make Britain their home.
